I love academics and the stimulation I get from other researchers, teachers and professors. Currently, I’m in the Sociology doctorate program at Georgia State University where my emphasis is on gender and sexuality. My dissertation topic is about the social construction of black transgender women’s lives that essentially tackles sex work, economics, HIV, intersectionality and syndemics, and ultimately mental and sexual health. My Master’s Thesis was on the intersections of race, gender and alternative sexual communities. You can find my papers on Academia.edu or on Google Scholar.
In 2014, I will be presenting at a ton of conferences and I’m really excited about it. It’s always fun to share your thoughts with like-minded academics who want the world to be a better place. Check out the blog for the latest on my conference attendances.
